Join us on a four and a half day package and the schedule will typically be as follows:

Day 1

  • Arrival at the Lodge.

We don’t schedule a formal ½ day afternoon dove hunt on the arrival day because hunters can arrive at vastly different times and especially so if flight or traffic delays are encountered en-route. However most hunters do tend to arrive at the Lodge by 3pm and we always try to fit in an ‘ice-breaking’ late afternoon dove hunt where we can and for no extra charge.

Day 2, 3, 4

  • Wake up early to a prepared breakfast fit for a hunter.
  • Drive to the Paraná River for a 20 minute boat ride to one of our duck hunting islands. Shown to a duck blind near the lagoons for some spectacular wingshooting.
  • Species include Rosy-billed Pochard, White-cheeked Pintail, Ringed Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Fulvous Whistling Duck, Southern Widgeon, Blackhead, Yellow-billed Pintail, Red Shoveler, Brazilian Duck and Silver Teal.
  • The duck hunt generally concludes by around 9:30-10:30 am.
  • Following the hunt, your guide and our birdboys will retrieve your ducks and happily take those all important pictures of you and your kill.
  • For lunch, hunters can either return to the Lodge for a quick snack and a siesta or remain at the hunting site. Frequently, we’ll set up a traditional Parilla and grill some meat in much the same way as the local gauchos cook their meals on a daily basis.
  • Afternoon dove or perdiz hunt where you’ll experience the more of the rapid hunting that’s made Argentina famous.

Day 4

  • Morning duck, dove or perdiz hunt
  • Return to the Lodge for a wholesome lunch.
  • Pack and return journey to Buenos Aires to catch your evening flight back home.

Essentials: Don’t forget to bring your favorite lightweight waders, camera, shooting glasses, ear plug, soft leather shooting gloves, shell bag or vest, light raincoat (green, brown or camouflage), multi-tool pocket knife, your sunglasses and a soft cooler for those trophy ducks you might wish to carry home.
